Emilime is the creation of Emily Green. After completing her MBA at the University of Colorado in Denver, Emily moved to Peru following, what was intended to be, a short trip to Lima and Cuzco. Emily’s love of design, retail background, and passion for travel and speaking Spanish have enabled her to create a one of a kind product line that combines the highly skilled artisans of Peru with Emily’s unique style. Emily connected with the people of Peru through her many conversations and travels around the country, and she has worked closely with everyone involved with the Emilime products in order to bring a unique product to the marketplace.

Every Emilime product is hand crafted by artisans in Peru. Emily has developed a working relationship with these artisans who make the Emilime products and has been astounded by the skills that have been passed down from generation to generation. The women who knit the alpaca products use the extra income to support their families, and are able to integrate the production into their daily lives. The llama products (purses) are made by one family that has been perfecting the art of hand loomed fabrics for many generations. The purses are then finished at a small workshop outside of Lima. Emilime sources from the finest material available in Peru. Sustainability is extremely important and therefore we are proud to offer all our hats, scarves, and gloves in 100% alpaca and sheep's wool with no synthetic material mixed in. The purses are made from llama wool and the leather finishes from high quality goat leather.
